We are seeking an experienced L&D consultant to work with a major Utility company as they embark on several new Infrastructure projects. Your day-to-day duties will include responsibility for the full learning cycle including identification of the performance need, learning needs analysis, issue analysis and leading design teams (working in a Scrum / Agile way) through the process of creation. Working with all stakeholders from management to audience; you will lead the design of modern learning solutions that contribute to a market leading learning experience for all its learners across a range of subjects but specifically Health & Safety. Remote working available but occasional site visits may be required to London. This is an initial 6 month contract

Responsibilities

  • Be the key day to day L&D point of contact for the areas you are responsible for with a relentless drive to identify performance needs and drive visibility of those to enable planning and prioritisation across the team.
  • Partner with your business areas to develop cyclical and ongoing business needs analysis that creates forward visibility of learning needs and enables prioritisation and planning.
  • Work with key stakeholders across the business to manage and promote the activities, strategy and service of the Learning & Development team. Including planning and design processes, learning platforms, skills frameworks, ensuring regular communications and engagement activities to ensure that learning is effective for all employees.
  • Use reporting and analysis to drive conversations with business areas and to assure the impact of learning.
  • Be an independent, creative thinker grounded in real world delivery with credible experience of what best in class learning experiences look like for today’s workplace.
  • Acting as the design lead and authority for capability and skills assurance frameworks for the business
  • Collaborate with other departments to develop and deliver appropriate learning solutions to meet our needs.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement which are supported by comprehensive and achievable plans for implementation.
  • Be the key compliance contact for your areas and provide the link between the learning team and compliance policy owners.
  • Ensure that company policy, goals and objectives are being adhered to and represented within design of learning.
  • Advise and help manage the ongoing digital skills framework and assessment tools and align to development plans, skills programmes and regulatory compliance.

Experience

  • Experience working as a learning consultant specifically delivering learning for construction or Utility organisations with an emphasis on HS training.
  • Youll need to have experience of managing associated continuous improvement projects, be systems and process driven and have experience in using data to drive future improvements.
  • Project management knowledge with the ability to structure, plan, control and co-ordinate multiple tasks.
  • Experience managing the solution life cycle from detailed analysis, through consultative analysis, innovative design, to successful delivery and analysis of impact.

Education

  • A relevant LearningTraining qualification or previous experience in a similar role
