LMS Manager

We are currently recruiting a new position for our client who has recently implemented a new LMS Platform (Totara). The role requires a strong project manager with the ability to manage supplier relationships and engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders. This position is based in Berkshire but flexible remote working is an option.

  • Manage and lead on Learning Management Systems development and design
  • Manage relationships with external suppliers and service providers to ensure compliance with contracts within best  value  principles. 
  • To lead our User Acceptance Training (UAT), creating test scripts for all user types based on client requirement
  • To cascade training as needed to testers
  • To develop training materials (written and video) and FAQs for use with our internal programme teams, and for our network of Delivery Partners


  • Be organised and efficient with previous experience in a technical role and possess excellent communication skills
  • Change management understanding - ability to work with users closely to drive engagement and embedding of new processes and solutions
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to lead the workstream and engage effectively with others, both internally and externally
  • Evidence of successfully working in a team
  • Understanding of various project management methodologies and experience working with their frameworks.
  • Working knowledge of MS Dynamics
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office365, Dynamics365, and other software packages
  • Understanding of software development tools, testing methodologies, application and database performance, web services technologies
  • Awareness of digital design principles; re-use, UX, accessibility
  • Proficient understanding of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 accessibility guidelines
  • Good IT proficiency with an understanding of how systems work individually and how they work together in order to train staff and delivery partners in their use


  • Experience of setting up and managing data within a Learning Records System
  • Experience of supporting end users i.e. induction to systems, preparing training materials
  • Experience with the development, delivery and deployment of Learning Management Systems, preferably Totara Learn.


  • Project Management experience, working within a framework like Prince 2
