Learning Design Lead

Our client, a prestigious organisation that focuses on governance, strategic leadership and community development, is looking for a Learning Designer Lead to join their Learning and Development (L&D) team.Driving the creation and development of dynamic, blended learning solutions that address the changing needs of learners and leading a team of Learning Designers, you will manage the creation of various learning materials, work closely with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the continuous improvement of learning technologies (LXP/LMS).

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with SMES and write detailed scripts and storyboards for both high-quality digital as well as blended learning content
  • Working closely with learning designers, including leading and mentoring to ensure high-quality learning designs are delivered
  • Liaise with content developers to ensure learning needs are being met
  • Drive the development of innovative and engaging blended learning solutions, incorporating digital learning experiences tailored to a diverse workforce.
  • Support the rollout and continuous enhancement of the Learning Experience Platform (LXP), ensuring seamless integration of the latest learning technologies.
  • Collaborate closely with subject matter experts (SMEs), stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to align learning resources with both educational objectives and organisational goals.
  • Analyse the effectiveness of digital learning resources and implement strategies to improve learner outcomes.
  • Quality assurance and continuous maintenance of all learning content ensuring this is aligned with the organisation’s standards

Skills

  • Attention to detail with excellent written and communication skills
  • Adept at mentoring and coaching learning design teams
  • Proficiency in learning technologies e.g. LXP and LMS
  • Skilled in using digital learning authoring tools including Articulate 360 is desirable

Experience

  • 2 to 3 years experience in designing engaging learning content
  • Experience coaching and leading small learning design teams
  • Knowledge or experience of designing and delivering learning solutions

Education

  • LD related qualifications e.g. Instructional Design, Digital Learning or equivalent are desirable
