We are seeking an enthusiastic VLE Administrator to work with our not for profit organisation and play a pivotal role in the running of this organisation’s online learning capability. You will take responsibility for the running and maintenance of a Totara based VLE - including course design and LMS Maintenance. This role is mainly remote, but office visits to Reading on an ad-hoc basis may be required

  • Provide support for all VLE users, including staff, students and tutors
  • Update and maintain the content on the LMS
  • Collaborate with IT to ensure any internal issues are resolved promptly
  • Identify possible improvements for the online learning experience
  • Coordinate and manage third party suppliers
  • Create eLearning using authoring tool articulate storyline
  • Maintain and develop new eLearning guides and training support resources



  • 1-2 years’ experience of working with Totara or Moodle LMS
  • Understanding or experience of using eLearning authoring tools would be a strong advantage
  • Experience of coordinating a number of projects simultaneously
  • Enthusiasm to learn and take on new responsibilities
  • Excellent organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office products


  • 1-2 years in a similar position


  • Qualification to degree level in multimedia or related design qualification desirable


  • Qualification in multimedia or experience in a similar position
