Head of Commercial Learning Delivery

A newly created role with a leading provider of learning solutions, this position will suit an ambitious individual with a proven track record in managing and developing learning solutions within a commercial delivery environment. Both strategic and tactical, it will involve ensuring the successful delivery of high quality, innovative blended and digital learning solutions whilst incorporating the latest learning technologies, with ‘future-proofing’ always in mind.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure that all learning offerings are of the highest quality and lead to successful outcomes
  • Define strategy for all learning offerings from both a broad and niche (specialist) perspective
  • Ensure the continuous improvement of all existing and new learning solutions
  • Ensure profitability (P&L ownership) across all learning delivery areas
  • Manage and lead a team of L&D specialists in a variety of areas and across several verticals
  • Incorporate key metrics and KPI’s to monitor performance
  • Collaborate with relevant sales teams and senior management, assisting with bids, proposals, tenders and presentations
  • Continually research the latest developments with L&D and learning technology and assess appropriate offerings Consult with key clients to provide expertise regarding the design and implementation of blended and digital learning solutions
  • Ensure the right solutions are implemented to fulfill client needs and their learning

Qualifications

  • Degree level qualifications desirable

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience leading the design and delivery function within a commercial L&D setting
  • Proven success identifying and developing leading edge offerings within digital learning, blended learning etc.
  • P&L ownership and financial management within a commercial learning solutions environment
  • Proven specialism within and in-depth understand of L&D and learning technologies
  • Adept at writing or assisting with successful bids, proposals and tenders
  • Experience of growing an L&D delivery function
  • Proven leadership credentials

  • Passionate about L&D and the latest developments within this arena
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and influencing skills
  • Financial management (P&L) within a commercial learning environment
  • Proven management and leadership skills
  • Adept at collaborating with senior stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Strategic and analytical, able to see the bigger picture
  • Project management skills, with the ability to work in a high pressure and fast-moving environment
  • Strong writing skills, with experience of working on complex bids and tenders
  • Team player with an approachable manner
