Business Development Manager – DACH or Netherlands

€55K-€60K Basic + €75K OTE

An exciting opportunity to join a growing global leader in assessment and certification. Based in the DACH or Netherlands, you will be exceptional in identifying, developing and closing new business with experience developing existing accounts and relish international travel. Verbal and written fluency in German and English is essential.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop new business in untouched prospect areas within the DACH and Netherlands regions
  • Achieve personal sales targets and KPI’s
  • Research new areas of interest and develop strategic business development plans
  • Develop and strengthen client relationships via consultative and advisory based account management
  • Attend and proactively network at industry conferences and seminars
  • Act as the first line of contact for client queries and escalating issues where necessary
  • Present to and meet with prospect stakeholders and existing client contacts
  • Oversee projects and solve any issues that arise


  • Any sales training qualifications are desirable


  • Educated to degree level or equivalent is essential


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience within a B2B sales role within the learning solutions sector
  • Proven track record hitting personal sales targets
  • Proven consultative sales skills in a business development focused position with strong networking credentials
  • Ability to develop and grow accounts through outstanding relationship building and customer service
  • Adept at engaging with senior, C-level stakeholders and decision makers
  • Articulate and confident, possessing gravitas and adept at rapport building
  • Possessing an excellent telephone manner with face-to-face sales experience
  • Experience of international business travel and willing to visit clients and prospects abroad when required


  • Fluency in verbal and written German and English
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven skills in new business development and relationship building
  • Analytical and research skills with a curious mindset
  • Great time management and organisational skills
  • Fantastic persuasion and negotiation skills
  • Desire to learn and continuously develop
