We are seeking engineering subject matter experts to manage a cohort of apprentices, providing support to complete their apprenticeship programmes by their planned end date. The roles are based in Portsmouth but travel to sites in the UK, including Scotland will be required.

Responsibilities

  • Provide, but not limited to, apprenticeship Programme inductions, briefs and sign ups, regular progress reviews with each apprentice every 12 weeks, training delivery and support services for the Engineering Apprenticeship output measurements.
  • Conducting a quality assurance oversight role for various activities and decisions within the Programme.
  • Provide information, advice and guidance) regarding all aspects of the apprenticeship standard
  • Acting as the point of contact for your cohort of apprentices within the Engineering team for all day to day queries.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external organizations to facilitate the delivery of the qualifications as mandated within the Engineering apprenticeship programmes.

Skills

  • Have an Aerospace or Marine engineering background
  • Understanding/Experience of apprenticeship standards is desirable
  • Ability to attain DBS certification status
  • Ability to attain Security clearance through Vetting (SC)
  • Ability to manage a high demand workload and priorities effectively in time-bound situations

Experience

  • Have an Aerospace or Marine engineering background
  • UnderstandingExperience of apprenticeship standards is desirable

Education

  • Qualified to a minimum of Level 3 in an Engineering discipline
  • Hold Assessor Qualifications D3233, A12 CAVA or equivalent
  • Hold VerifierIQA Qualifications D34, V1, TAQA stage 2 or equivalent Or working towards

Qualifications

• Qualified to a minimum of Level 3 in an Engineering discipline
• Hold Assessor Qualifications (D32/33, A1/2/ CAVA or equivalent)
• Hold Verifier/IQA Qualifications (D34, V1, TAQA stage 2 or equivalent) – Or working towards
