Learning Designer/Technologist

Our client is a leading global organisation. The L&D function is established as an Academy supporting employees and stakeholders. They have an exciting role for an L&D Manager, focused on the design and development of learning assets and supporting the use of the learning management environment and best practice.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and develop blended learning solutions focussed on internal business systems and policies.
  • Collaborate with third party vendors to improve website user experience and platform (LMS) functionality, restructure and re-design, and general monitoring and maintenance
  • Liaise with SME’s to understand and design all technical requirements
  • Review and administer the learning management platform
  • Analyse and report on user statistics and learner engagement
  • Produce e-learning/digital assets and champion the use of learning technology across the business

Education

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent is desirable

Experience

  • Previous experience designing learning assets to support technical training and/or technical instructional design
  • Knowledgeable on Learning Management Systems with an understanding of Moodle VLE
  • Experience using instructional design techniques to design effective eLearning
  • Practical experience of using eLearning tools e.g. Articulate Storyline or Adapt

Skills

  • Strong understanding of Learning Management Systems, ideally Moodle, with the ability to administer, update and be the ‘expert’ within the business
  • Knowledgeable in Instructional Design methodologies, principles and best practice
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Skilled in developing eLearning using authoring tools e.g., Articulate, Captivate or Camtasia
  • Knowledgeable in analytical reporting on learning statistics
  • Excellent written and verbal skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
