Our client, a multi-award-winning training & development business, focused on the education sector are seeking an Instructional Designer to support the design and delivery of digital learning solutions due to continued growth.
The post will be home-based, with a requirement to attend the office in central Bristol (under normal, non-Covid circumstances) when required for project meetings.
Key responsibilities
- Design and develop high quality learning solutions for professional qualifications
- Liaise with subject matter experts, stakeholders and highly qualified academics to determine learning requirements’
- Design engaging and suitable learning solutions via excellent instructional design process
- Utilise the Canvas authoring tool within the VLE, to build the eLearning and digital learning assets
Qualifications
- Instructional design or learning and development related qualifications are desirable
Education
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an instructional design/e-learning design role
- Experience of working with subject matter in education leadership, education research or teacher training
- Skilled in curriculum development and producing current and engaging content for virtual learning environments
- Experience of liaising with academic stakeholders
- An understanding of HTML and/or Canvas is desirable
- Some experience of staff management, or a willingness to take on some people management, in the future would also be beneficial
Skills
- Strong knowledge of instructional design processes
- Ability to storyboard and script content
- Understanding of pedagogical theories
- Knowledge of authoring tools, such as Canvas or Articulate Storyline
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
