Business Development Support Executive (Learning)

Our client, a small, values-driven leadership training company looking for a Business Development Support Executive (Learning) to join their growing team and help drive their business forward. This is an exciting client relationship-oriented role where youll be the first point of contact for inbound client inquiries, support in delivering winning pitches, and play a key part in growing relationships with existing clients. Its a fantastic opportunity for a highly diligent person to hone their business development instincts and grow into managing large-scale accounts. The role offers bonus or commission potential, reflecting your contribution to the companys success.The role can be worked remotely, with travel into London 1-2 a month.

Responsibilities

  • Client Engagement: Act as the first touchpoint for client inquiries, providing prompt and helpful responses, and understanding their needs to recommend training solutions.
  • Sales Support: Assist business developers in preparing proposals, presentations, and sales materials, and nurture client relationships post-pitch to drive conversions.
  • Proposal Development: Craft detailed, visually engaging proposals and tailored learning solutions with the support of designers, ensuring alignment with client needs.
  • Pipeline Management: Manage client interactions in the CRM system, track leads, monitor the sales pipeline, and provide insights to prioritize opportunities.
  • Event Coordination: Organize roundtables and other events to engage decision-makers and deepen client relationships.
  • Resource Coordination: Liaise with the design team to secure necessary materials and ensure trainer resources align with proposed solutions.
  • Forward Thinking: Identify unmet client needs, contribute to future product development, and offer insights for marketing strategy.

  • Highly organised, with exceptional ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Proactive, sales-driven mindset with strong relationship-building skills and a focus on driving results.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with warmth and authenticity.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in the L&D sector, with tenacity and a can-do attitude.

Experience

  • Previous experience in sales support, business development, or customer success, ideally within LD or professional services.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and CRM systems e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot is a strong advantage.

Education

  • Professional certifications in client services, account management, or related areas are a plus
