HR Advisor

We are looking for a proactive and knowledgeable HR Advisor to support the day-to-day operations of our client's HR department. In this role, you will take an advisory position, ensuring best practices in recruitment, retention, and employee engagement. You will play a key part in upholding company policies and procedures while fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture. This is a hands-on role where you will provide frontline support to the HR Manager and Global HR function, assisting line managers in all aspects of people management.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to attract top talent.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and HR teams to enhance the company’s employer brand and recruitment presence.
  • Act as the first point of contact for employee relations matters, ensuring impartiality and escalation of high-risk cases when necessary.
  • Lead quarterly and annual engagement surveys, analysing results and recommending improvements.
  • Support initiatives to build a strong and positive workplace culture.
  • Handle first-line concerns, ensuring fair and compliant resolutions, in relation to disciplinary’s, grievance, and performance management
  • Oversee absence reporting and advise managers on best practices for handling attendance issues.
  • Coach and mentor people managers on HR policies and best practices, identifying training needs and maintaining appraisal programs.
  • Promote and support employee wellbeing, educating managers on best practices and available resources.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of HR policies to ensure an agile and progressive HR function.
  • Assist the HR Manager and Finance team in ensuring an accurate payroll process.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant employee records and HR software systems.
  • Respond to HR queries and handle ad hoc duties as required.

Experience

  • 1-2 years experience in a standalone HR role, such as HR Advisor or Consultant.
  • Strong background in managing complex employee relations issues, including disciplinary and grievance processes.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Experience working with HR software systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Spanish-speaking or willingness to learn is desirable

Education

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or working towards it.
