Business Development Director

£60K Basic + £85K OTE

An interesting and unique role with an international provider of digital and blended learning solutions with an impressive client base. You will be heading up a partnership strategy by growing existing client accounts and acquiring new name business. Experience of selling IT related learning solutions or similar is essential, along with an entrepreneurial mindset. Progression into a leadership role is expected as the team grows.

Responsibilities

  • Setting a sales strategy and delivering on a revenue growth plan via an existing client base and new business acquisition
  • Collaborating with the Partner Director and wider sales team to up-sell into existing accounts and identify new business
  • Achieving set revenue and GP targets as agreed with the Sales Director
  • Selling a range of digital and virtual learning, blended learning programmes and accreditations
  • Working with the Bid Manager in responding to RFI’s, RFP’s and tenders
  • Creating engaging and compelling sales proposals
  • Collaborating with the Marketing team to create and action targeted marketing campaigns

Skills

  • An entrepreneurial mindset with strong strategic thinking skills
  • Proven consultative sales skills within a commercial L&D setting
  • A genuine interest in leading edge technologies, with a strong desire to learn
  • Strong networking and rapport building skills
  • Strong negotiation skills with commercial acumen
  • Management and leadership skills would be an advantage

Experience

  • Experience in a senior sales position within commercial LD, with a focus on technology related subject matter e.g. Cyber security, Big Data, AI
  • Proven track record achieving annual revenues of at least 400K
  • Sales management experience is an advantage but not essential

Education

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent is beneficial

Qualifications

  • Any business or sales related qualifications or accreditations would be an advantage
