Business Development Manager

£40K Basic Salary

Fantastic opportunity for an experienced business development professional looking for their next career move.

You will be working with a global training provider focusing on developing strong relationships with large clients to really understand their requirements and provide in-depth solutions. You will visit the office 2/3 times a week with travel to clients and the opportunity for some home working.

Key responsibilities

  • Achievement of personal sales targets on an annual basis
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Create and effectively implement client and prospect account plans
  • Accurate sales forecasting and proactive sales pipeline management
  • Present to clients and prospects the company’s value proposition
  • Write compelling and commercially viable sales proposals
  • Update the CRM system with relevant client information

Candidate’s requirements

  • Proven sales track record in commercial (B2B) sales
  • Minimum of five years in a technical or training sales background
  • Experience in sales of bespoke digital learning or related solutions an advantage
  • Demonstrable consultative sales skills
  • Adept at influencing and selling to senior level decision makers and stakeholders
  • Excellent presentation and client facing skills
  • Strong tender and proposal writing skills
  • Based within or close proximity to Wokingham or surrounding areas preferable
  • Degree educated or equivalent
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Car owner with driving licence
