Sales Director (eLearning and eAssessment)

£60K Basic Salary plus significant OTE

Our client is a hugely respected membership organisation and international experts in their field for over 8 decades. Having developed a portfolio of assessment and eLearning tools, and having achieved international sales success, they are looking to appoint a Sales Director with responsibility for developing and executing an international sales plan and build upon early success.

This is a start up opportunity within an established organisation and requires someone with the flair, international business development experience, and, passion for developing and building an exciting and successful operation.

Key responsibilities

  • Design and execute a strategic international sales plan building upon current successes
  • Develop global sales opportunities from lead generation to ultimate successful orders
  • To develop reseller networks and a channel strategy prospecting and cultivating relationships
  • To identify potential customers, decision-makers and budget holders within customer organisations
  • Develop an income strategy including a plan for building a sales team
  • Develop and embed sales processes and systems (e.g. CRM) and necessary to support sales
  • Financial budgets, forecasting and pricing strategy with significant input into product portfolio and development
  • Account management, prospecting and networking to ensure licence renewals and customer success

Candidate’s requirements

  • A highly capable and strategic sales professional with experience of developing business internationally
  • Experience in the fields of digital learning (eLearning) higher education, assessment, qualifications and or educational publishing
  • A proven track record developing and executing a successful sales strategy and closing high value sales
  • Additional language skills are desirable
  • Willingness to travel internationally
  • The ability to think strategically and create revenue opportunities through dedicated client engagement
  • Having an understanding of the cultural and market specific nuances of international sales and institutional partners
