Business Development Manager – Learning Technologies

£45K-£55K Basic + £80K-£100K OTE

A fantastic opportunity to join a successful, international provider of learning technologies. The role will be focused on developing new business revenues via consultative sales and managing, growing existing client accounts. You will possess experience and demonstrable success in the sale of learning platforms (e.g. LMS) or similar, to the Corporate sector.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop new business by open questioning, qualifying and following up leads
  • Proactively manage and growing a selection of existing client accounts
  • Work closely and collaborate with clients to understand strategic goals and identify appropriate technology enabled learning solutions
  • Develop awareness of the company’s offerings including digital learning content and learning platforms
  • Influence and present to senior level decision makers on a range of e-learning solutions
  • Create and develop engaging and compelling bids, tenders and sales proposals
  • Effectively manage and grow your sales pipeline and report progress against revenue targets

Candidate’s requirements

  • Experience selling learning technologies, ideally platform (LMS)
  • Target driven with proven success in consultative sales
  • Gravitas and confidence in negotiation and deal closing
  • Proven ability to develop relationships with senior client contacts
  • An appreciation and understanding of how e-learning is designed and developed
  • A strong understanding and genuine interest in the latest e-learning trends and technologies
  • Proactive and able to work on own initiative
  • Demonstrated ability and experience meeting personal sales targets (minimum £500K per annum)
  • Possessing excellent client facing and telephone skills
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to manage time well and strong attention to detail
