Business Development Manager- e-Learning Solutions

Do you wish to join a team as the eLearning sales solutions professional? This is a new opportunity with a prestigious, award-winning provider of online learning resources, talent assessment and e-learning solutions. Working with a fantastic team of creative, client centric individuals; you will be an ambitious, consultative sales professional with a successful track record within a B2B eLearning market.

This role is home based, with easy access to London and Scotland.

Key responsibilities

• New Business Development including proposing solutions through face to face
 meetings, telephone calls, email, WebEx, Networking and written proposals
• To manage successful relationships with allocated key accounts and to maintain a strong business partnership and grow revenue to realistic quarterly targets
• Develop an account strategy and plan for each client to maximise return from each engagement (including up-selling and cross-selling)
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the L&D, training sector plus clients’ marketplace to gain credibility
• Identify competitive and innovative approaches for presenting products and solutions to clients and share these across the sales team
• Work with the Bid and Production Teams to respond to RFQ / RFP enquiries
• Attend networking events and exhibitions as required
• Build strong relationships with colleagues across the business
• Keep accurate sales and forecast records using Salesforce CRM system

Candidate’s requirements

• Experience and success within a consultative solution sales role across the Public, Private and HE sectors
• Adept at relationship building and networking at senior level
• Proven ability to articulate bespoke learning solutions (online learning resources, e-learning and blended learning programmes)
• Ability to manage sometimes complex sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders and decision makers
• Keeps abreast of the Learning and Development industry challenges and trends
• Commercial acumen with the ability to maximise long term profitable returns
• Strong negotiation skills with a high degree of integrity
• Proven ability to achieve sales targets in excess of £350K per annum
• Ability to scope client needs effectively, therefore enabling conversion of appropriate solution
• Experience of meeting and liaising with senior contacts in Blue Chip organisations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a team approach
• Passion for People Development.
