Business Development Manager - Digital Learning

£45K-£55K Base Salary + £90K OTE

A fantastic opportunity to join a successful, international digital learning business. The role will be focused on developing new business revenues via consultative sales. You will possess experience and demonstrable success in digital learning sales, along with a desire to evolve the role and progress your career. Whilst the role is home based, weekly travel to London is required.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop new business by open questioning, qualifying and following up leads
  • Work closely and collaborate with clients to understand strategic goals and identify appropriate e-learning solutions
  • Develop awareness of the company’s e-learning capabilities and stay abreast of industry developments, trends etc.
  • Influence and present to senior level decision makers on a range of e-learning solutions
  • Create and develop engaging and compelling bids, tenders and sales proposals
  • Effectively manage and grow your sales pipeline and report progress against revenue targets

Candidate’s requirements

  • Experience selling digital learning solutions (content and/or platform)
  • Target driven with proven success in consultative sales (minimum £400K per annum)
  • Gravitas and confidence in negotiation and deal closing
  • Proven ability to develop relationships with senior client contacts
  • An appreciation and understanding of how e-learning is designed and developed
  • A strong understanding and genuine interest in the latest e-learning trends and technologies
  • Proactive and able to work on own initiative
  • Demonstrated ability and experience meeting sales targets
  • Possessing excellent client facing and telephone skills
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to manage time well and strong attention to detail
