Technical Trainer and Content Designer

An exceptional opportunity with a fast growing, international technology provider seeking an experienced IT Trainer, who will provide technical training to global colleagues and clients, via classroom, webinar and virtual classroom methods. Utilising your instructional design and e-learning learning design skills, you will also collaborate with SME’s to create and develop online learning courses, using Articulate Storyline or a similar authoring tool and evaluate the effectiveness of current training programmes. The subject matter will be technical in nature but the audience will be largely end users (not IT professionals).

Key responsibilities


• Deliver technical classroom based and virtual training courses, primarily on technology based subject matter
• Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of classroom techniques and individual learning styles
• Design and develop technical content for different channels and audiences
• Train customers across multiple locations and time zones
• Create technical content and courses to complement the existing training curriculum
• Evaluate the effectiveness of training activities and implement improvement measures

Candidate’s requirements


• Minimum of 3 years technical training experience or equivalent
• Experience delivering training via virtual classroom environments to a global audience
• Knowledge of networking and/or telecommunications technology (e.g. RTP, VOIP, LAN, TCP/IP, routers etc.)
• Experience in instructional design for the purpose of both classroom and digital based learning
• Proficient in the use of an e-learning authoring tool such as Articulate Storyline, Captivate, Camtasia, Gomo, Adapt etc.)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly motivated with strong problem solving ability
• Must be willing to travel approximately 25% of the time on a UK and international basis
