Sixth annual survey of learning industry pay launched, with the chance to win an iPad Mini

Blue Eskimo, the learning industry’s leading specialist recruitment company, has just launched its annual work and salary survey.

The survey, now in its sixth year, is the most comprehensive study of its kind - and provides the learning industry with its sole dedicated benchmark for salary and work statistics.

As an incentive for people to take part, the company is offering an iPad Mini, worth £349. The only qualification for taking part in the survey is that the person must work in a learning, e-learning or learning and development role - within the learning industry, education sector or within a corporate learning department.

Nick Bate, director at Blue Eskimo, says that the survey has become the most important reference tool of its kind within the sector, detailing benefits, pay and work satisfaction for a wide range of roles. "We collect a wealth of information and make it freely available to both companies and individuals. This is the sixth year of the survey - all of our previous surveys are available online - so we've built up a pretty comprehensive picture of trends."

As with previous surveys, the results of the survey will be made available - free of charge - on Blue Eskimo's website. The results will also be sent to companies and professionals within the learning industry, made available to members of the Learning & Performance Institute - and will be distributed at January's Learning Technologies conference and exhibition, which runs from 29-30 January at Olympia in London.

According to Bate, the survey is a key tool for decision-makers in the sector. "It provides a benchmark that's unavailable elsewhere," says Bate, "and demonstrates Blue Eskimo's commitment to being the learning recruitment agency for the sector."

The survey is open now and can be taken online - it runs from now until mid-December and takes less than five minutes to complete. The results of the survey will be available early in 2014 - and the winner of the iPad Mini should receive the tablet in time for Christmas.
