Is training pay rising or falling?
It’s something we all want to know: are we paid enough? Blue Eskimo’s salary and work survey for learning professionals aims to uncover the truth behind pay, work-life balance and a whole lot more.
Blue Eskimo has undertaken the survey every year for the last six years - and, as a result, is the most accurate, comprehensive study of pay, benefits and attitudes to work in the learning sector.
According to Blue Eskimo director Nick Jones, the question of how much people are paid is the prime motivator for taking the survey and then downloading the results later. "It's something everyone wants to know," says Jones, "and it's usually the first thing they look at when downloading the survey."
Participants can win an iPad Mini
Another motivator is undeniably the chance to win a free Apple iPad Mini, worth £349 - "A thank you for people's time," says Jones.
The survey is open to everyone who works in education, learning and development, e-learning and training - whether they are employed or freelance. It takes just a few minutes to complete the survey.
The answers to questions everyone asks
"We ask the questions people want answers to," says Jones. "How much people get paid, what benefits they get, what hours they work - and so on." All of the answers are confidential, but the results are published free. "We make the results available first at Learning Technologies Conference and Exhibition in London - and on Blue Eskimo's website as a download."
The survey is the only one of its kind in the sector and has become the industry's benchmark for information about pay, benefits, work-life balance and much more.
The survey is open now and can be taken online. It runs until mid-December. The results of the survey will be published early in 2014 and the winner of the prize draw should get the iPad Mini in time for Christmas.
